Chase Thomas - Stars and Stripes Stand
I began my career in the funeral industry in 2004 in Central Kentucky, driven by a passion for helping others navigate some of life's most difficult moments. Over the years, I have been blessed to serve my community not only as a funeral director, but also as a career Firefighter, EMT and Deputy Coroner.
While it is a privilege to assist every family during a time of loss, honoring the men and women who have served our country holds a special place in my heart. The American flag has long been a symbol of gratitude and respect for our veterans. As more families choose to showcase the beauty of a casket or floral arrangements rather than draping the flag over the casket, I began asking myself a simple question: How can we continue to display the flag in a way that remains both dignified and prominent?
That question inspired the idea of creating a respectful display that keeps the American flag as a focal point of honor while complementing the overall memorial tribute.
We went thought countless ideas, crafted and created, hundreds of drawings and we knew that we could create something that would work. We refused to just "prop the flag in the corner of the casket lid any more". Through careful designing, measuring dozens and dozens of caskets and ensuring the right material, right measurements, and perfect mold, we created the Stars and Stripes Stand. After months of testing at multiple locations, the feedback was tremendous. Thats when we took it a step further and crafted the same idea for the use of an URN. We wanted to make sure that the display would look flawless regardless if you were using a lower profile wood urn or upright metal urn.
